Jump like a kangaroo
From a standing start, drop to a deep squat. Then rise and spring into a jump, pulling your knees as high as you can, trying to hit your chest. You may not get them all the way up—I can’t, either—but that’s OK, because the benefit is in the effort, not the chest pummeling.
Kangaroos are entirely a leg exercise, so they’re especially good when your arms and shoulders need a break. Start with 1, and work up to 10 in a row. Add these kangaroos into varied routines, or make a full routine of them—countdowns, Tabatas, Fibonacci, or if you’re really tough, turn your burpee jump into a kangaroo.
